INFORMANCE SUPERCHARGES MANUFACTURING CONSULTING EFFECTIVENESS

NORTHBROOK, IL — DECEMBER 10, 2004 — Informance International, a leading provider of Manufacturing Performance Management solutions, announces the PortablePulseŽ program for consulting organizations who specialize in manufacturing continuous improvement methods and metrics such as Lean, Total Productive Maintenance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness. The program gives consulting organizations the opportunity to significantly increase the effectiveness of their consulting services and the return on investment for their clients.

The PortablePulse program is designed around a portable data collection and analysis kit that can be deployed within hours. Once deployed, data such as production volumes, throughput rates, uptime, downtime and downtime reasons are automatically collected and stored using a sensor and Informance's Industrial Data Collector. For analysis, the data is downloaded to a computer running the PortablePulse performance analytics application providing the consultant with point and click access to over 200 charts, graphs and reports.

"Consultants have struggled for years trying to gather accurate and actionable data to drive their continuous improvement programs," said Scott Rishel Director Channel Development for Informance. "They have applied various approaches of manual data collection which provides a snap shot of activity but not a comprehensive view of performance. With the PortablePulse system consultants can eliminate the deficiencies, controversies and cost associated with manual data collection techniques, allowing them to focus on improving performance versus collecting data."

For consultants who wish to participate in the PortablePulse program, the completion of a 2 day training and certification class is required. These classes are held monthly at Informance's headquarters in Northbrook, IL. Upon completion of the class, consultants leave with their personal PortablePulse data collection kits which can be used to deliver assessments, perform diagnostics and measure the results of their programs.
